Planify Pro Is Crashing or Not Working Properly

If Planify Pro Is Crashing or Freezing (Update 2026) #

If Planify Pro is crashing, freezing, or behaving unexpectedly, don’t worry — this is usually related to browser memory handling and can be resolved easily.

Why This Happens #

Planify Pro works with large planner files that include:

  • Patterns and backgrounds

  • Stickers and images

  • Fonts and complex layouts

These actions use a significant amount of browser memory, especially during syncing and exporting.

What Changed (Update 2026) #

In the past, Firefox was recommended because it handled memory more gently.
However, with recent Planify Pro updates, this behavior can actually cause problems.

  • Firefox often doesn’t crash — instead, it may slow down or get stuck during syncing or exporting.

  • Chrome has stricter memory limits, so when something goes wrong, it will crash and refresh.

Although crashing sounds negative, this behavior is helpful because it:

  • Clearly resets the process

  • Prevents long freezes

  • Allows Planify Pro to reload and continue more reliably

✅ Best Solution: Use Google Chrome #

As of 2026, we now recommend Google Chrome, especially when:

  • Syncing your planner

  • Exporting pages

  • Working with large or detailed planners

Chrome provides clearer recovery when memory limits are reached, making it more predictable and easier to continue your work.

Important Note for Our Docs #

Some older pages may still mention Firefox as the recommended browser.
Please note that as of 2026, Chrome is now the recommended browser for Planify Pro, particularly for syncing and exporting tasks.

Planify pro Previous version. #

Planify Pro uses a lot of memory to manage planner assets like patterns, stickers, fonts, and layouts. Chrome browsers have strict memory limits, and when those limits are exceeded, Chrome often forces a crash. Firefox, on the other hand, handles memory much better — even if the system is struggling, Firefox will usually just slow down instead of crashing.

Best Solution: Use Firefox in Private Mode Using Firefox’s Private Mode gives Planify Pro the cleanest environment to run smoothly, without interference from old cache, cookies, or browser extensions.

How to open a Private Window in Firefox: Open Firefox. Click the three lines (☰) in the top-right corner. Select “New Private Window.” Access Planify Pro from this new private window. 📌 Private Mode minimizes memory issues and removes hidden conflicts that can slow down or crash Planify Pro.

Other Tips to Improve Stability #

  • Use a Recommended Device:
A device with at least 16GB RAM is ideal, especially for larger planners. (View our [Recommended Devices Here].)

  • Prefer Computers Over Tablets:
iPads and tablets are generally less powerful and more likely to crash when working with big projects.

  • Heavy Projects May Slow Down:
If you have hundreds of pages or apply patterns/stickers on every page, expect slower performance — but it should still be stable in Firefox.
