What is Foldout Menu

What Is a Foldout Menu #

A foldout menu is a special page format that lets you extend your planner page beyond the regular size. It works like a small “expanding page” that folds out to the side, giving you more writing space for schedules, notes, task lists, or custom layouts.

When creating a foldout, you will see two pages side by side:

  • Right page — the front of the foldout
  • Left page — the back of the foldout

Both pages include folding marks that show exactly where you should fold the printed sheet.

Foldouts are available only for certain sizes. Smaller formats such as A6, A5, Personal, and Pocket currently support foldouts.

When Can I Select Foldout Menu #

You can select a foldout option when choosing your planner size.

After opening the Sizing Panel, you will see which sizes support foldouts. Sizes like A5 Wide, and Custom Planner do not have foldout options yet.

For sizes that do support foldouts, you’ll see two choices:

  • 1.5 Foldout – A slightly larger foldout
  • 2.0 Foldout – A double‑width foldout

Once selected, you can:

  • View folding marks
  • Adjust layouts to add white space for folding
  • Flip layouts horizontally so folding lines don’t overlap with widgets
  • Add widget elements like weekly schedules, notes, to‑do lists, etc.

How to Print a Foldout #

After designing your foldout, export it as a PDF using Export → PDF Only.

To print correctly:

  1. Print front and back.
  2. Set print scale to 100%.
  3. Follow the folding marks shown on the PDF.

Each exported file includes:

  • Front page (with ring placement)
  • Back page
  • Folding lines for accurate folding

Once printed, fold along the marked lines and place the foldout into your planner. If you need help, you can reach out to support through Instagram or Facebook for assistance.
