Storage Usage

Understanding Storage Usage in Planify Pro #

The number you see at the top of your screen is not the size of your current planner project.
It represents the amount of browser storage currently available for Planify Pro to work with.

Why This Matters #

Every browser has a limited memory capacity that it can allocate to web applications.

  • Each browser (Chrome, Safari, Edge, etc.) has a different storage limit.

  • The more tabs or windows you have open, the less memory remains available for Planify Pro.

  • When available memory gets too low, the browser may slow down, freeze, or crash.

What to Do #

When your storage indicator reaches around 3GB, we strongly recommend that you:

  • Save your planner progress

  • Close unused tabs or browser windows to free up memory

Continuing to work beyond this limit may cause your browser to overflow its memory, leading to potential crashes or data loss.

Common Misunderstanding #

The small memory number (e.g., 9 MB) that you might see is not the file size of your planner.
It simply shows how much browser memory is being used to keep Planify Pro running smoothly.

If Your Browser Froze #

If your screen froze or the site stopped responding, it may have been caused by a temporary bug or local memory issue.
