If Planify Pro feels slow or unresponsive, there are a few common reasons — and easy ways to improve the performance!
Why This Happens #
Planify Pro uses a lot of memory because it needs to store and manage assets like stickers, patterns, fonts, and page layouts in real time.
The speed depends on several factors:
-
Browser used (Firefox Private Mode is recommended)
-
Device performance (RAM, CPU power)
-
Internet connection speed
-
Project size (number of pages, amount of patterns, stickers, and elements)
👉 A small or simple planner runs easily on almost any device.
👉 Large planners (especially digital planners with 400+ pages and heavy pattern use) require much more memory.
If your device’s memory runs low or gets overloaded (especially in Chrome, which handles memory poorly), it can cause freezing, crashing, or data loss.
How to Fix or Improve Performance #
-
Use the Right Browser
-
Firefox (Private Mode) for computers.
-
Safari for iPads (if absolutely necessary).
-
-
Check Device Recommendations
-
We recommend a device with at least 16GB RAM for larger projects.
-

-
-
Check Your Project Size
-
If you have a large pattern on every page (especially in daily planners), it can slow down the project.
-
Try limiting the amount of pattern used if your device struggles.
-
-
Prefer Computer Over iPad
-
iPads are generally less powerful and better suited for smaller or simpler planners.
-
-
Possible Internal Bug
-
In rare cases, there could be a bug inside the project causing the lag.

Quick Reminder: #
Saving your work frequently helps protect against memory crashes, especially on very large planners.
