If Planify Pro is running slowly, don’t worry — there are a few quick fixes that usually speed things up!
We previously recommended Firefox as the main browser for using Planify Pro.
With recent updates—especially around syncing and exporting planners—this has changed.
We now recommend Google Chrome #
Why?
-
Chrome crashes and refreshes when something goes wrong, allowing Planify Pro to reload and continue.
-
Firefox usually doesn’t crash—it can get stuck during syncing or exporting with no clear recovery.
It’s useful during syncing before exporting, because the browser can recover instead of freezing indefinitely.
Our Recommendation #
-
Desktop & first-time users: Google Chrome
-
Syncing / exporting planners: Google Chrome (recommended)
-
iPad users: Safari
In short summary:
Chrome may crash — but it recovers.
Firefox may not crash — but it can get stuck.
Other Possible Reasons for Slow Performance #
-
Device Limitations
Planify Pro uses a lot of memory to manage stickers, patterns, and assets.
We recommend using a computer with at least 16GB RAM (check our Recommended Devices Here). -
Large or Complex Projects
Planners with hundreds of pages, heavy use of stickers, or lots of patterns can slow down performance — especially on weaker devices. -
Tablet or iPad Use
iPads and tablets are generally less powerful than computers.
For heavy planners (especially digital planners), we recommend using a laptop or desktop for best results. -
Possible Project Bug
In rare cases, slowdowns could be caused by a bug inside the project itself.
