Pattern Not Align in the Middle of the Cover

If you’re designing a full-spread cover and apply a pattern across both the left and right pages, you might notice a mismatch or break in the design at the center. This is especially common with non-seamless patterns (which are most of the graphics in the library).

Why This Happens to the Pattern #

Most patterns in Planify Pro are not seamless — they’re designed to repeat on a single page, not across a full spread. When stretched across two pages, the transition between the left and right doesn’t always line up perfectly.

To avoid visible breaks in the center of your cover, we suggest adding a spine.

How to Add a Spine: #

  1. Go to the Pattern menu at the top.

  2. Click on the Spine submenu.

  3. Choose a solid color or a patterned spine to overlay the center.

Adding a spine visually separates the two sides and gives your cover a professional and polished look.
