About Internal Hyperlinking Between Dated Pages

Planify Pro includes a smart internal linking system that automatically connects your monthly, weekly, and daily pages — as long as they are properly dated.

This means that when users tap on a date in their monthly calendar, it will open the corresponding weekly or daily page — without any manual linking needed.

How Internal Hyperlinking Between Dated Pages Works #

The system uses date flags to detect and link pages together.

Here’s what happens behind the scenes:

  • If a monthly calendar contains a date like Jan 1, and a weekly page also has a box marked Jan 1, Planify Pro will recognize the match and connect the two.

  • The same applies between weekly and daily pages. If both have a flag for Jan 2, clicking that date on the weekly view will open the daily page for Jan 2.

💡 This is all automatic — no need to manually insert hyperlinks.

What Counts as a Date Flag? #

A date flag is a widget-add-on (activated in widgets setting) that includes a valid date in the following format:

  • Short format: Jan 1, Feb 14, Mar 31, etc.

  • Full format: January 1, February 14, etc.

  • The date must appear inside a widget or on a page. .

As long as the date is recognized by Planify Pro, it will be included in the linking system. Read this documentation to learn how to add a date flag to a widget.

Example Use Case #

Let’s say your planner includes:

  • A monthly page for January 2025

  • A weekly spread for Jan 1–7

  • A daily page for Jan 1

Here’s what happens:

  • Tapping Jan 1 on the monthly calendar will open the weekly page that contains Jan 1.

  • Tapping Jan 1 on the weekly page will open the daily page for Jan 1.

These internal links are automatically generated when exporting, so users get smooth navigation across date views.

Important: You Must Sync Before Export #

Before exporting your digital planner, you must run a sync so Planify Pro can generate all the internal links between dates.

Otherwise, the date-based linking will not work properly in the final PDF.

To sync:

  1. Click Save/Export from the top menu.

  2. Go to the Export tab.

  3. Scroll down and click the “Sync” button.

Choose a speed:

  • Normal or Slow is recommended (especially on large planners or low-memory devices)
