How to Make a Horizontal Digital Planner on Planify Pro #

Creating a horizontal digital planner in Planify Pro is quick once you know where to enable the right layout settings. Follow the steps below to set it up correctly.

Step 1: Open the Layout #

  • Open your planner in Planify Pro 

  • From the top menu, click Layout

  • The Layout will appear on the right side of the screen

This is where all digital planner settings are controlled.

Step 2: Go to “Create Digital Planners” #

  • In the right sidebar, locate Digital Planner & Hyperlinks

  • Click Create Digital Planners

Step 3: Enable Digital Planner Mode #

  • Turn ON → Show the digital planner layer

This step is required to:

  • Add hyperlinks

  • Use planner tabs

  • Control spine and page structure

Without this enabled, your planner will behave like a static page.

Step 4: Keep Vertical Page Mode OFF (for Horizontal Layout) #

  • Make sure Single Page Vertical Planner is set to OFF

Why this matters:

  • OFF = Horizontal / two-page digital planner (ideal for landscape planners)

  • ON = Vertical scrolling planner (not what you want here)

Step 5: Adjust Page Position #

Under the layout controls:

  • Select Left Page or Right Page

  • Choose tab position:

    • Side (most common for horizontal planners)

    • Top or Bottom if preferred

This helps you control how tabs and navigation appear across pages.

Step 6: Customize Tabs & Spine (Optional) #

You can now:

  • Set Spine Type (numbers or hidden)

  • Adjust Tab text color

  • Change Digital Planner background color

  • Apply tabs and hyperlinks to other pages using
    Apply Tabs / Hyperlinks to other pages

This ensures consistency across your entire planner.

Final Check: Horizontal Planner Mode #

You’re successfully set up when:

  • Digital planner layer is ON

  • Single Page Vertical Planner is OFF

  • Pages display side-by-side (left & right)

Your planner is now ready for:

  • Horizontal navigation

  • Linked tabs

  • Professional digital planner exports

Quick Tip #

If you ever see pages stacking vertically, double-check that Single Page Vertical Planner hasn’t been turned on by mistake.
