Error: Frozen Widget and Window, Crashing, Saved Planners Disappearing

If you’re experiencing issues where the widget is frozen or won’t launch, or if planner projects suddenly seem to disappear, this guide will walk you through the most common causes and how to resolve them.

Issue Overview #

Some users report:

  • Widgets not launching or freezing

  • Designed pages or sheets appearing lost or not saving

  • Overall app instability or crashing

These issues are almost always tied to memory limitations or browser compatibility.

Always open Planify Pro in a new private window using Firefox. Firefox handles memory management far better than Chrome and is much more stable for heavy web applications like Planify Pro.

Why Firefox?
Planify Pro loads a lot of resources — assets, widgets, patterns, fonts, code — and this requires a fair amount of system memory (RAM). If you’re using a browser that struggles with memory (like Chrome), it may crash or behave unpredictably once your system starts running out of resources.

⚠️ 2. Avoid Using Google Chrome #

Planify Pro is not recommended for use on Chrome. Chrome has stricter memory usage limitations, especially when working with large files or high asset loads, which can lead to:

  • Freezing

  • Page crashes

  • Incomplete saves

💻 3. Use a Laptop or Desktop for Complex Projects #

  • For planners with more than 10 pages, always use a laptop or desktop.

  • Tablets are suitable for light or small projects only (ideally under 10 pages).

  • Planify Pro is not supported on mobile phones.

📱 4. Using an iPad? Run in Safari #

If you’re using an iPad, make sure to open Planify Pro in Safari, not Firefox. Firefox on iOS has more limitations due to how Apple handles third-party browsers. Safari offers more stability in this environment.

Device Requirements #

Planify Pro performs best on devices that meet the following minimum specs:

  • RAM: 8GB or more (16GB+ recommended for large planners)

  • Browser: Firefox (latest version)

  • Processor: Modern dual-core or higher

  • OS: macOS, Windows 10+, or iPadOS for light use
