With the Edit Layout feature, you can customize the structure of your planner by adding, resizing, or removing rows and columns — and you also have helpful visual tools like Guide Lines and Layout Colors to make the process even easier.
How to Access Edit Layout Mode #
-
Click on the “Edit Layout” button located in the upper left corner of the planner editor.
-
Once activated, your layout becomes editable. You can now:
-
Add or remove rows and columns
-
Resize any section by dragging the borders
-
Adjust spacing and section width with full control
-
Use Guide Lines for Visual Clarity #
-
Click the “Guide Lines” button at the bottom of the screen.
-
This will overlay precise measurement markers to help you clearly see the structure of your layout — including individual column widths and row heights.
This is especially useful for perfectly aligning elements or understanding how each widget is spaced within the page.
Use Layout Colors to Visualize Widgets #
-
Click the “Layout Colors” button next to the Guide Lines toggle.
-
This will display colored background blocks for each widget area.
💡 Why it helps:
-
It makes each widget’s boundaries clearly visible.
-
If a widget spans multiple columns or rows, you’ll immediately see that it stretches across them.
-
Great for understanding how the layout is being used, especially when widgets are layered or stretched across the grid.
