What Browser Should I Use for Planify Pro?

We previously recommended Firefox as the main browser for using Planify Pro.
With recent updates—especially around syncing and exporting planners—this has changed.

We now recommend Google Chrome (2026 update) #

Why?

  • Chrome crashes and refreshes when something goes wrong, allowing Planify Pro to reload and continue.

  • Firefox usually doesn’t crash—it can get stuck during syncing or exporting with no clear recovery.

It’s useful during syncing before exporting, because the browser can recover instead of freezing indefinitely.

Our Recommendation #

  • Desktop & first-time users: Google Chrome

  • Syncing / exporting planners: Google Chrome (recommended)

  • iPad users: Safari

In short summary:
Chrome may crash — but it recovers.
Firefox may not crash — but it can get stuck.

Why Use Safari on iPads?

  • Optimized for iOS:
Safari is built specifically for Apple devices and is the most stable, memory-efficient browser on iPads.

  • Best Touch Response:
Planify Pro works better with Safari’s touch controls for dragging, dropping, and editing elements on tablets.

  • Native iPad Performance:
Using Safari helps avoid unexpected crashes or slowdowns compared to third-party browsers on iOS, which sometimes have limited system access.

Important Notes: #

  • Using other browsers (like Chrome, Edge, or non-private Firefox) may lead to unexpected bugs, missing features, slower performance, or display glitches.

  • Always ensure your browser is updated to the latest version for the best experience.

  • If you notice any issues, clearing your cache (or always working in Private Mode) usually fixes them quickly.

Summary:
For the best stability, speed, and full feature access in Planify Pro:

  • Use Firefox in Private Mode on laptop or desktop computers.

  • Use Safari on iPads.
