When creating your planner, you can easily speed up your process by applying one of our premade starter templates. These templates allow you to instantly load layouts into your planner without having to build each page manually.
Here’s exactly how to apply a template:
1. Go to the Template Menu #
At the top of the editor, click on Templates and select Starter.
This will bring you into the starter template library where you can browse different template categories.
2. Choose a Template Category #
On the right-hand side menu, you’ll see a dropdown called Planner Tags A:.
Use this dropdown to filter the templates by category — for example, you can filter for daily layouts, finances, fitness, notes, and more.
Once you select a category, matching templates will load below.
3. Apply the Template Layout #
Under each template preview, you’ll find three important buttons:
-
Template: Loads both the structure (layout) and the styling (colors, fonts, etc.).
-
Skeleton: Loads only the structure/layout of the page, leaving the current styling you already have in your planner.
-
Style: Applies only the fonts, colors, and visual styling without changing the layout.
Depending on your needs, click the button you want.
(If you want a blank but prearranged page to customize later, Skeleton is a great choice!)
4. Choose How You Want to Apply It #
Before applying the template, you can choose whether you want to apply it to:
-
Left Page Only
-
Right Page Only
-
Both Pages
Use the Apply From / Apply To buttons to control where the template should be placed.
If you are building a two-page layout (like an open planner spread), you can apply a different template to each side.
5. Final Step: Click “Apply to Pages” #
Once you’ve made your selections, click Apply to Pages.
The template will automatically load onto your planner.
You can now continue editing, inserting widgets, changing fonts, adjusting colors, or adding additional pages.
Important Notes #
-
You can apply templates to an empty planner or overwrite existing layouts if you want to refresh a page.
-
If you accidentally apply the wrong template, simply select a different one and apply it again — it will replace the previous layout.
-
You can mix and match starter templates to create a totally custom planner suited to your needs.
