Think about the last time you made a purchase from a store or online. What kept you coming back? Was it the quality of the product, the great service, or just because it was convenient? Whatever the reason, that store had something that made you a loyal customer. Here are some tips on how you can build a loyal customer base for your business.
1. Find 10 like-minded people strategy
One of the most common ways to connect and interact with your audience is through social media. Platforms like Instagram and Facebook are great for reaching out to potential customers. Even though it has become harder to grow a following on Instagram, it’s still worth using this platform to market your products and talk to potential buyers.
If you’re just getting started, I recommend beginning with a small following. Find 10 accounts and people you can connect and become friends with. This process should happen organically and can take weeks. Look for people who share your interests and have similar values to your target demographic. Don’t spam people or like their posts just for the sake of getting attention/followers in return. Sometimes a small following with high engagement is much more worth than a big following with no engagement at all.
Put Quality over Quantity when it comes to your customer base. It’s also a lot simpler to convert engaged followers who already are engaged in your business into loyal repeat customers later on.
2. Build a relationship with your audience
One way to connect with potential customers is by building relationships with them. When you take the time to get to know your followers and customers, they are more likely to buy from you. This is especially significant in the planner community since many users form close attachments with their favorite shops.
Share photos and snippets of your passion. Introduce yourself so your audience can put a face to the brand. Show them how you’re using your products and printables. Give tips on how they can use your printables more efficiently. Share behind the scenes of your creative process. Share photos and stories about your life outside of work. When people feel like they know you, they are more likely to connect with you and buy from you. This should happen on both sides. You should also try to get in touch with your audience on a regular basis and be interested in what they are posting.
3. Inspire your audience
This is easier said than done, but if you can inspire your audience, they will be more likely to purchase your products and follow your journey. People are often looking for creative inspiration, and if you can provide that to them through your posts, they will be more likely to stick around.
Keep it fun and fresh by introducing new planners from time to time, or by adding new seasonal colors or limited editions. If you have a blog or youtube channel, film a “plan with me”, or write posts that will inspire and motivate your readers to start planning/using your templates.
4. Build a community
Facebook groups are a great way to connect with customers and followers and build a community. You can create a group for your shop, or for a specific topic related to your products. This is a great way to get feedback from customers, and to provide support for your products.
Once you do have a Facebook group, be actively engaged in the group, and respond to questions and comments. It’s a great place for starting conversations, and for building relationships with potential customers.
You can also use Facebook groups as a way to drive traffic back to your shop. Share sneak peeks of new products, or host giveaways in your group. Make sure that you are active in the group and answer any questions that people have.
5. Offer customizations
You would be surprised but little things such as small customizations can go a long way with customers. If you offer customizations, people will feel like they are getting something special and unique that isn’t available anywhere else. This will make them more likely to purchase from you again, and to become a loyal customer. Customizations can be anything from adding a name to a printable, changing the color, or adding boxes/text.
Conclusion
Building a loyal customer base is essential for any business. These are just a few tips on how you can start building those relationships with your followers and customers. When it comes to online businesses. It’s important to remember that people buy from people. So get out there and start connecting with your audience!
